Ok: the Time is Now

So it has been a long time. So I figured it's time for an update. Only seven days of classes left!!! Yes!!! Do you think I'm excited? Boy am I!! I'm so excited to start living a life again that actually includes sleeping as an everyday event. And not writing papers as an everyday event.
So, I just finished my show a week ago. It was a hit and everybody just loved it. I have copies if anybody wants to see it. We're thinking about having an encore performance, because we've had so many people request one. It's up in the air right now: it depends on people's schedules and all that jazz. I would definitely do it. Even though the show was a big reason I was getting so little sleep, I would still give it up in a heartbeat if it meant I could still do the show.
That's my new passion: Commedia Dell'Arte. I absolutely love it. I want so much to get really involved in it, but it's so unknown here there really isn't a chance. There are two troupes in the US: one in San Fran and the other Boston. My director told me that if I wanted to get more involved with it I'd have to do the same thing she did: do it myself. So, this summer I'm going to try and study up on it and maybe next year I can get some things going. I just love it so much. It's my favorite type of theatre.
Ok, funny story: I had car trouble again. But this time it involved my roommate. One night we had a craving for tater tots. Well, I happened to have the keys to my other roommate's car because I'd driven her to school that day. So we decided to run to the local Creamery and get some tater tots and ice cream. Well, we get there and park, and my roommate shuts her door, and then we've got a problem. The seatbelt got stuck in the door, and it was in such a way that you couldn't pull it out, and you couldn't open or close the door! It was terrible! It was the stupidest thing that could happen! So we sat there forever trying to do anything with it and couldn't. We felt really bad because it was our other roommates car! So finally we just went in and got our stuff, adding a box of treats for the roommate, and then went home. We were both about to cry. We felt so bad. We told her, and her fiance who was there. She was totally cool about it, because it wasn't broken, just stuck. So the two of them went out there to try and fix it. They were there for about 20 minutes, and then they finally got it open. We felt so relieved! But it was the most retarded thing ever to happen!!! But now we can laugh about it... a little...
That's it for now. I may have more stuff to say at the end of the week though... ;) Talk to you all soon!!!
PS: The picture is my alter ego, Arlecchino, and my fellow servant in the show, Pedrolino. We liked to wrestle like kids in the performance: so much fun!
